Sell on Yoox

General information about Yoox

Yoox is the eCommerce site for the sale of luxury clothing and accessories founded by the very Italian Federico Marchetti. A few years after its birth in 2000, the company merged with another important European company, Net-A-Porter, forming the YNAP group. Selling on Yoox means getting your product catalog closer to one of the most important fashion and luxury sites in the world.

How to sell on Yoox

Yoox contemplates a sale to the final consumer with bulk purchases or through its marketplace, officially released in January 2022.

In order to join the Yoox marketplace, an approval from the internal team that is responsible for enabling merchants is required.

Although we do not know the selection criteria established by the company, we can say that the products must be in line with the brand positioning that all other items follow.

Internationalization

Like many other marketplaces, Yoox also contemplates internationalization as one of its most important tools.

Enabling international sales on Yoox is relatively simple: you will need to have the data relating to the products (the English translation for the names of the articles) and little more.

You will be able to enable the countries on which to sell, which on Yoox are called Channel, to be chosen among many nations of the European community including those of the east such as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Payments and logistics

Each transaction is managed by Yoox, which liquidates the merchant (i.e. the sales partner) at three different times in the month:

La reportistica inviata, suddivisa per singola country, include:

  • on day 8th
  • on day 81th
  • the last day of the month

The invoice sent by Yoox to the merchant includes commissions on all orders marked "shipped" for at least 21 days and is paid by bank transfer. The merchant will then issue an invoice to the consumer who requests it.

Logistics is always the responsibility of the merchant.
